Mr A.Gopu has completed his Bachelor of Science in Botany, from Madras Christian College, Tambaram and has worked in forest department for more than 2 decades in various capacities as forester and forest range officer in wildlife conflict prone districts and he had made notable seizures of wildlife articles/meat in trade in Chenglepet and kanchipuram district. His areas of interest are wild animal rehabilitation and social forestry.

He takes care of day-to-day management activities. He supervises his subordinate Forester, Forest guards, who are responsible for implementing, co-ordinating and administering specific forestry projects within this institute.
